Find Out About Your Acne Cream Before Buying

This is a short tips for you before you buy acne cream to remove acne. Enjoy it.

When acne appears for the first time, it may be a stray event that will disappear with the right treatment. If it recurs, buy an acne cream with caution.

Before you go to the store to buy a known brand of acne cream, try these steps. Follow a discipline of cleaning your face with a mild exfoliate and pat dry with a clean towel. Does your skin feel too stretchy after you wash it? Then change the face washing product. If these hygiene habits do not prevent acne's further outbursts, choose a mild product by comparing the percentage of active ingredient in various brands. Keep a separate towel for your face and wash it after every use. Dirt and dandruff in your hair will aggravate your skin condition. Ensure regular washing with a shampoo that suits your hair type.

Discipline

Do not allow your hand near your face and do not touch the affected skin. If the acne ruptures, clean the area with a clean towel that you will not apply to any other part of your face without a wash. Be timely about your hair and nail care habits. Your nightly routine must involve face cleansing and treatment with cream on the affected areas. If you use make up, ensure that you cleanse your face thoroughly before application of acne cream. Include relaxation techniques into your daily routine to reduce the effect of stress on your skin.

Know your skin type

This is the most important thing to consider, because acne cream comes in varying strengths of the active ingredient. If your skin is sensitive, that is, it dries out or reddens on application of the cream, you must stop its use immediately. There are a variety of treatments that are suited for skin types. Oily skin has an oily sheen all over and tends to get grimy fast and requires frequent cleansing. Combination skin is oily on the forehead and nose and dry on the cheeks. Dry skin becomes tight with excessive washing and requires mild treatments. Your skin should show reduced acne and feel soft after the use of a product. If skin feels oily or looks flaky after use, change the product.

Types of acne cream

Based on the type of skin you have, you can try treatments like ointments, creams and lotions. Ointments tend to have a greasy base and are suitable for dry skin. Creams are less oily than ointments and may be used for combination or dry skin. Water based solutions are suited for dry skin. Alcohol based solutions are best suited for oily skin since they evaporate and do not provide a moisturizing base. Gels that contain glycerin are effective for normal or combination skin because of the moisturizing effect. Lotions have a drying effect on the skin and may be used on oily skin.

Applying acne cream

Wash the affected area and dry it. Check your face for existing and potential trouble spots. Liberal use of cream is recommended to treat the affected areas and the ones where the problem is expected. Avoid application of the cream all over your face, just in case. Acne cream is strong and will have a quickly drying effect on your face.

There you go, acne cream buying tips. But, isn't it would be healthier if you remove acne naturally?

Many people are concerned about products to remove acne, yet perhaps the more important factor to consider is prevention. After all, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. So, here are five of the basic but most important ways in order to treat and prevent acne build up.

1. Cleaning

Washing away the outside layer of the skin with natural oils is not really helpful preventing or curing acne, or pimple for other people, for it develops under the skin. Although it's a belief the people develop acne due to the fact that they don't cleanse their skin thoroughly. For everyone's information, washing the skin too much can cause irritation and produces more whiteheads and blackheads that turn into pimples after being infected. Gentle washing is only needed. Use mild soaps or cleanser, an example is Cetaphil or acne bars. Another good sample is Neutrogena product that washes acne.

2. Exfoliating

It is also important to exfoliate, this helps remove the dead skin cells, to maintain a healthy and glowing skin. A mild cleanser will help exfoliate the face after washing. Scrubbing will also help exfoliate the face, which can be done once or twice a week. This procedure will aid in reducing dead layers skin cells that clog the pores, reason why more pimples or acne.

3. Keeping the skin Clear

- Make sure that all cosmetics such as powder, lotion, blush on, foundation, and even sunscreen are oil free

- Complex 15 is oil free moisturizer that helps avoid dry skin

- Get in the habit of using oil-free lotions

- Get rid of hair chemicals such as gels or hair cream

- Always watch for labels with the term non-comedogenic, which means they don't cause pores to be clogged

4. Proven Chemicals

Benzoyl Peroxide

This eliminates the bacteria that worsens acne and it also unplugs oil secretions and helps pimples or acne to heal. This can be found in many over-the-counter acne treatments. Start traditionalistically with a five percent moisturizer once everyday like after washing the face before going to bed. After a week, make it twice everyday if there are no other medications being taken or used. If the acne is not yet healed after four to six weeks, try a ten per cent mixture. This can be bought over-the-counter, however, there is a need to seek for a doctor's prescription. Just be sure to request for a real form: the pharmacist can be asked which can be bought over-the-counter or which needs prescription.

Antibiotics

These are available only if there's a doctor's recommendation. Antibiotics are very helpful aid for pimples or acne that is already swelling and red and usually have pus, or for if it not those not anymore being treated with medications as expected. These antibiotics eliminate the bacteria, which develop to whiteheads. Make it a point to follow the doctor's recommended dosage and always take the antibiotic pills with enough amount of water. Some of these bacteria killing medicines may also increase the skin's sensitivity to the sun, for this use sunscreen when going out to prevent any sunburn.

Accutane

Accutane are antibiotics that are available only under a doctor's order and recommendation. Accutane is a very optimized pill that is intended for those with deep scars, or pimples that can no longer be treated by other medications or antibiotics. Blood test is taken every now and then when using Accutane as medication, as this can affect the levels blood cell and blood count. For women, the physician, possibly an obstetrician-gynecologist may require the intake of birth control pills prior to prescribing the Accutane. Extra caution is really taken into consideration, as it can be very harmful to to pregnant women. However, until this time some physicians are not prescribing Accutane.

5. Treatment Information

The Treatment can take some time which often takes six to eight weeks for the pimple to heal after there will be another start of treatment. Some medications can cause acne to get even bigger or redder before it gets well, there are times when these could have pus too. If the acne still has not welled after several medications with other drugs, the doctor may suggest that the patient take an oral medicine. Doctors recommend this retinoid as a last treatment, due to its serious effects and it is also very expensive. Sometimes women are asked to take birth control pills as to help them control acne especially in women who mood swings even before their menstruations start.

If you are suffering from acne, you have no longer need to be troubled. Try the steps below to claim back a clearer skin, your confidence and self-esteem that acne has been robbing you. But remember that success needs time to achieve, so do not give up and you will see a smoother skin soon.

Step No 1: Home Remedies

1)You can try cooking oatmeal, applying it on the face for about 15 minutes followed by washing.

2) Or, you can prepare a warm bath and blanch with rosemary along with nettle to eliminate or reduce your acne.

3) Or, you can apply equal quantities of rose water and lemon juice with the help of a cotton ball and leaving the application on for about 30 minutes, and then washing and repeating this routine for at least twenty days.

4) Or, you can apply lavender oil on the affected area to help soothe irritated skin. Also, you could try using sea salt and tea tree oil to help the pimples dry.

5) You can try washing your face first with a gentle acne cleanser then wash your face with the combination of sea salt and distilled water. Afterwards, you may apply or gently rub the affected area with lemon juice then wash it with pure glycerin. After the routine, use benzoyl peroxide to help your pimples dry.

The above are natural remedies you can try at home. Apply the steps everyday until you see improvement on your skin. The key in using home remedies for acne is to try and find out what is best and what really works for you.

If you have to use allopathic acne remedies, then you may want to use low level of antibiotics, such as tetracycline. The trouble with allopathic acne remedies is that they are likely to produce side effects. There may also be long-term consequences since it is typical for the body to become resistant to antibiotics after extended use. As bacteria are not the main cause of acne, such acne remedies should not be used in the long term.

Step No 2: Cleansing

1) It is very important that you should keep your skin clean and dry most of the time.

2) You need to gently wash your face and other affected areas of your skin with clean water and mild soap once or twice in a day.

3) To gently cleanse the affected are of your skin, just splash it gently with clean water.

4) Do not use any alcohol based products to clean you face because this can cause irritations on the affected area.

5) When washing your face, start from the chin, working upwards and then rinsing thoroughly. Do not press or rub the affected area, but pat dry that area gently with clean soft towels.

6) Take care not to touch the affected area with your hands or any other objects. Do not squeeze pimples or acne because this could lead them to infections and possible scarring. Always remember your goal should be to ease your discomforts and not to do more harm on your skin.

Touching the affected area of your skin will only make matters worst so just leave your acne alone. Moreover, you have to stop looking at your face in the mirror. If you keep checking the acne on your face every minute or so, you will make yourself more anxious and self-conscious

Step No 3: Avoid Aggravating Your Skin

1) To prevent more acne outbreaks on your skin, avoid using milky cleansers and cosmetic products that contain oils, because oil can further clog up your pores and will cause more irritations.

2) Try to do without make-up until such time when the inflammations on your face have all cleared up. If you must put make up on, consult a dermatologist first on which types of make-up you should use. Do not just put on anything on your face if you do not want more flare-ups to occur.

3) Try not to expose your irritated skin to direct sunlight for a long period of time. If you have to work outdoors, wear a wide brim hat that will shade your face, because the heat of the sun could cause more harm to your already irritated skin.

Step No 4: What To Apply

1) You may use non-prescription medicated soaps, lotions, creams of gels. Products that can used include benzoyl peroxide, alpha-hydroxy acid, salicylic acid and tea tree oil which can kill bacteria, unclog the pores and dry up blemishes.

2) However, before you apply any of these products on your skin, make sure that you read the labels of these products carefully and follow the instructions for their applications strictly. Although these products are relatively safe on your skin, you may suffer from some unwanted side effects if you do not use them correctly.

Step No 5: When Nothing Else Works

However if after following the steps above and the flare-ups on your face persist or gets worse, you need to see a doctor and ask how to reduce and treat your particular acne. If you are affected with severe acne, it can leave your skin scarred and blemished. Therefore you have to make sure that you seek medical help as soon as possible if you notice that your acne is getting worst.
